Chinese Eighteen Postures
A 6000 year old form of Qi Gong, originating in China and handed down from Master to pupil, consisting of a unique sequence of eighteen gentle stretching exercises that combine with slow and measured breathing techniques. It is a proven method of training the body, the breath, the mind, and the Qi to improve health and longevity. Meant as a life-long practice that takes just 20 minutes, it energizes the body while calming the mind. Rubber Ducky Reading Club

Join the club! This enrichment opportunity is open to children ages birth to 5 years old during the whole month of March and is designed to promote early literacy. With the help of parents or caregivers, participants will complete worksheets consisting of 12 fun early literacy activities. When all twelve activities are complete, return the activity sheet to the Eau Claire YMCA service desk and choose an adorable little rubber ducky to keep! Keep going and see how many different ducks you can collect!

Wisconsin ArtsWest, an annual juried art exhibit, will open on Sunday, February 23, with an artists reception to be held on Thursday, February 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Best of Show and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be announced at the reception. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. Selections for this year’s show are made by Elizabeth Tanenbaum, Director of New Visions Gallery in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Join a staff naturalist for a hootin' good time. The evening will begin with a short hike as we listen and hoot for owls in the neighborhood. Then we will move inside to discover some of the unique traits of the owl family. Guest appearance by the Reserve's non-releasable owl is expected.
This program is appropriate for adults and upper elementary school age children. Come and learn many interesting facts about owls! Appropriate outdoor dress is recommended.
