The second session runs the second and forth Wednesdays of each month, from 11 a.m. to Noon, beginning June 11 through the summer.
The DVD educational offering will focus on providing information on the practice of meditation. Sessions that will be offered from June to August 2014 are:
Session 1: Investigates how the mind works and the condition of mindlessness
Session 2: Explore “mindfulness,” which is nonjudgmental attention to experience as it occurs in everyday life and as a deliberate practice
Session 3: Introduces the practice of meditation as a tool for developing mindfulness
Session 4: Explores the interconnections of ethical behavior with the development of mindfulness and the shaping of personal character
Session 5: Considers the physical settings most conducive to meditation practices
Session 6: Explores breath as an anchor for allowing the mind to calm itself
