Guiding Good Choices

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Centennial Hall Room 1920 (Eau Claire, WI)
Guiding Good Choices is an interactive program for parents, family members and professionals who work with youth in grades 4-8.

Participants will learn specific strategies to help children avoid drug use and other adolescent problem behaviors, and develop into healthy adults.

The Eau Claire Area School District Early Learning Program presents The Very Hungry Caterpillar Family Night. Celebrate Eric Carle's masterpiece, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, as we learn about all the yummy foods the caterpillar ate on his path to become a beautiful butterfly! What's Cooking?

In this 6-week, fun-filled session, kids will learn fundamental kitchen skills such as reading and referencing recipes, ingredient identification, and proper measuring technique. In addition, participants will learn and practice various cooking styles as well as create and try out their own recipes. It is a hands-on experience where kids will learn lifelong skills and get to consume the delicious results – what could be better?

Adventure Club

The Adventure Club is a safe and supportive environment in which participants will be encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones to experience a sense of accomplishment as individuals and as a team. This program meets on the fourth Saturday of every month and will feature a new adventure every week, from hiking to fire building to kayaking to animal encounters and more!

"Mighty Mike" Simmel is a veteran of the Harlem Wizards professional entertainment basketball team who lives with the challenges created by epilepsy. Mike founded "The Bounce Out the Stigma Project" which condenses an interactive basketball show with the themes of goal setting, anti-bullying, confidence building, healthy living and disability awareness. Easter Egg Drop

South Middle School
Easter Egg Drop benefitting Trinity Lutheran Food Pantry. The bunny will be flown in on a helicopter, drop eggs on the fields at South Middle school where children are gather to watch and then gather the eggs!
