4th Annual Eau Claire Take Kids Fishing Day

Braun's Bay in Carson Park, 520 Carson Park Drive, Eau Claire, WI 43703
Sponsored by the Building and Construction Trades Council of Western Wisconsin and the Greater West Central Area Labor Council. This event is free and open to the public, but it is limited to the first 100 kids. All participants must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperon. Total Percussion Camp

Haas Fine Arts Center, 102 Water Street, Eau Claire, Wi 54701
Take your percussion skills to a new level this summer.
Join us for a challenging, fast-paced week of instruction and performance in all areas of percussion including mallet, drum set, snare, timpani, concert and world percussion. We'll focus on technique, musicianship and ensemble playing.
No matter what your experience level, this camp is for you. Instruction is divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced tracks for most lessons. We'll spend time playing the instruments and weave in lecture and discussion to build our understanding of music concepts.
Who should attend:
Beginning, intermediate and advanced percussionists entering grades 6-12. No experience is required.

Cost: $169 per student – early bird through May 16
$189 per student – after May 16
Fee includes 15 hours of instruction, materials and use of all percussion equipment.

Intro to Engineering: 3D Printing

3D modeling and 3D printing are some of the fastest growing STEM fields. From engineering to industrial design and manufacturing, these technologies are at the forefront of product development. Discover 3D printing and how it is changing our future. In this course you will design an object on the computer and then 3D print it! You will learn elements of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and how 3D printers work. This course is intended for students new to CAD and 3D printing.

Are you an aspiring writer?
There are as many ways to tell a story as there are people in this world! Find YOUR creative voice at UW-Eau Claire this summer.
You'll choose the track that most interests you:
• Poetry
• Novels & Short Stories
• Creative Nonfiction & Memoirs
• Digital Composition
• "Free Write" (a combination of different genres)
Our program is aligned with Wisconsin's statewide goals for middle and high school writing curriculum. Activities include a walking field trip, digital storytelling using the latest iPad applications, peer review and daily mini-lessons. You'll also work with a college student writing mentor from UW-Eau Claire's English Department.
Who Should Attend
Students entering grades 6-10 who want to practice their writing and learn more about different types of storytelling.

Cost: Fee $169 per student - early bird through June 17
$189 per student - after June 17

Dorchester Lions Santa Claus Day

Dorchester Village Hall, 188 S 2nd St Dorcheseter, WI
Santa will be here to take orders from the children. He will be passing out bags of goodies from the Dorchester Lions and the Dorchester Lioness will be serving hot dogs and hot chocolate for the families attending. Tractor pulled wagon rides will be given to anyone interested to takes a trip around town to see the lights and the Dorchester Park. Come and have a great time!!!

Let's Jump, Stretch, and Wiggle

Tiny Tots Children's Playhouse, 320 S. Wisconsin Street, Fall Creek, WI 54742
Singing along to well known nursery rhymes while having fun copying simple exercise techniques. Stretching their bodies and learning the concept that exercise is good for their little bodies. Activities are FREE to join once you have paid the regular $3 per child all day entrance fee into the Playhouse. Adults are always free Hooray!

PLEASE NOTE: We do have a no shoe policy in the Playhouse. We do this for hygiene reasons,and to keep the carpet area's dry for the crawling babies. Please bring spare socks or slippers (home away from home) !!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.

Easter Egg Drop

South Middle School
Easter Egg Drop benefitting Trinity Lutheran Food Pantry. The bunny will be flown in on a helicopter, drop eggs on the fields at South Middle school where children are gather to watch and then gather the eggs!
