The Cave Artist: A Prehistoric Musical Comedy-Dinner & Show

Heyde Cetner for the Arts 3 South High Street Chippewa Falls, WI 54729
The Cave Artist: A Prehistoric Musical Comedy Script and songs by Jerry Way, directed by Jerry & Carol Way and Amanda Tanzer Thursday–Saturday, March 19–21 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. The Wayward Players take musical comedy back to the Stone Age with Jerry Way’s The Cave Artist. Set in the South of France in 30,000 BC, the story and songs soon reveal these cave dwellers are no Neanderthals! True to the sophistication of their cave paintings, they are a fashion-conscious, articulate community—who enjoy sipping wine as they discuss the latest music, drama, and art. These hunter-gatherers maintain a prehistoric center for the arts in this off-kilter look at creativity, love, and conflict that is sure to be great fun for all ages.
Enjoy a delicious meal by Franzwa’s Custom Catering in the Heyde Center auditorium before the show. Choose between a flaky baked cod with a buttery lemon glaze or a chicken breast with a creamy mushroom sauce complemented by a flavorful wild rice blend, along with peas and carrots, a fresh green salad with mandarin oranges and strawberries, and rolls and butter. Top it all off with dessert and coffee. Dinner and show: $32 adults, $31 seniors, $22 youth (under 16 years)
