Center for Writing Excellence Writing Contest
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Center for Writing Excellence (CWE) is holding a writing contest open to all UWEC students, faculty, and members of the local community.
This year’s theme is “Conspiracy Theories” and welcomes submissions of both fiction and non-fiction prose. All entries must adhere to the theme, be no longer than 1000 words, and be submitted as a PDF via the CWE website. The deadline for submission is March 15, 2015, and all entries will be evaluated by a panel of UWEC faculty and guest judges. Additionally, an open reading will be held on April 9, 2015 for any interested participants.
We have several fabulous prizes available through the UWEC campus bookstore. While a first, second, and third place winner will be named, ten randomly selected participants will also be awarded prizes.
For more information and additional submission instructions, please visit our website at (www.uwec.edu/writing/writingcontest.htm).
