Open the door to nature through nature-related stories and activities. Story Hour is designed for families of all kinds and budding nature enthusiasts. Each story hour presents a new exciting topic. Children will listen to stories and participate in a related activity or take a short hike. After the program, participants can receive a 20% discount on any children’s book purchased that morning.
Registration encouraged, but not necessary.

Along with new presentations, participants can count on dozens of fun kids’ games, oodles of information about our agencies’ services, and food! We will have cotton candy and popcorn, along with face painting, raffle, petting zoo, music and much, much more!

Solstice on Grand Art Faire

Nature Valley Bicycle Festival

We are thrilled to be hosting the Saturday stage of the 5 day Nature Valley Grand Prix Bike Race. The event will take place on Saturday, June 15th 2013. Dunn County is known for its rolling hills and long climbs. It is also home to many cycling enthusiasts and has made great strides in developing itself as a destination for bicycle tourism. The Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce has been a leader in that community wide effort and is the driving force behind the Menomonie Road Race. The Saturday activities will include: Stunt riders, vendors, family activities and so much more. New this year, SummerDaze presented by Main Street of Menomonie will take place June 14-15. Friday night’s highlights include rock-n-roll themed children’s parade, old fashioned games and family activities, Jason Huneke a comedian/juggler will be on stage at the Wilson Park band shell along with a bed race sponsored by United Way. Saturday Activities will be centered around the Nature Valley Grand Prix bike race in our downtown during the day with inflatables and children’s activities. The Nature Valley kids race is at 4PM, a must activity for all the kids! Our Annual FreedomFest celebration takes place at Wakanda Park on the 4th of July, the day begins with a 1Mile/5K Run/Walk sponsored by Mayo Clinic Health System. Starting at the lower park at 2PM you will find children's inflatable, live music, Senior Bingo, tasty food from vendors, crafters. FreedomFest 2013 ends with a spectacular Fireworks display at 10PM!

Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center
Enjoy a morning of fun with your children at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center. Children will have so much fun with riding toys, large inflatables, dress-up clothing, bouncy balls, a book corner, baby and toddler toys, stuffed animals, legos and blocks, parachute games, and much more.
The Family Fun Zone is offered for accompanied children--newborn to six years. The cost is $3 per child. Adults are free. Purchase a punch card, which allows 10 visits for $27.
Family Fun Zone takes place on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from September 6, 2012 to May 31, 2013 and is sponsored by Marshfield Clinic and All Family Dental.
