Spooner-Trego Lions Club Ice Fishing Contest

The Spooner-Trego Lions Club Ice Fishing Contest will be held on Spooner Lake. Cash awards will be given for the largest game and panfish. A special contest for children under 12 years old will be held. Many door prizes will be given away at the contest. A raffle will also be held for other prizes. Tickets for the contest will be available on the Spooner Lake ice or from any Spooner-Trego Lions Club member. Food and beverages will be available on the ice as well.

1st Annual Blugold “The Jig’s Up” Ice Fishing Contest

1st Annual Blugold “The Jig’s Up” Ice Fishing Contest. Saturday, February 8, 6am-1:30pm on Lake Altoona at the County Park. Each participant may register one fish per ticket; tickets are $25 with no limit on the number of tickets an individual can purchase. $4,000 in cash and $10,000 in additional prizes will be awarded for the top 6 fish by weight and then every even place thereafter to 100th place (example: 8, 10, 12…96, 98, 100) so even a small fish can win big!

Food and beverages will be available. Parking on the ice is free; parking in the County Park is $3.00.

All state regulations and bag limits apply to this rule and no person may bring in more than the legal limit of fish allowed, which for this contest includes northern, walleye, pan fish (perch, bluegills, crappies), and bass.
