Color Run 2015

Carson Park
The YMCA has again been chosen as the local charity partner for the Eau Claire Color Run on Sunday, May 17, 2015.

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. The Color Run is now the single largest event series in the United States and has exploded since the debut event. This run has more than tripled in size, hosting more than 170 events in 30+ countries in 2013.

The YMCA is looking for 200 volunteers** to help with this amazing and colorful event to make it not only successful, but fun for everyone participating.

Race volunteers are needed for packet pickup on Saturday, May 16 and on race day, Sunday, May 17. Race day volunteers are needed for the check-in, color zones and clean up. Volunteering for this event gets you involved and colorful…without having to do any running!

If this is an event you, your family, a group of friends, a team, or an organization are interested in please consider volunteering. This is a great opportunity for middle school, high school, or university students to earn some service hours!

Our City Spring Cleanup

Downtown Eau Claire, WI
It’s time for some spring cleaning! Downtown needs your help this year for its annual Our City Spring Clean-Up. We need about 400 people helping Downtown Eau Claire with its spring cleaning.

We will be cleaning windows, sweeping, picking up trash, and planting flowers in and around dozens blocks of the Downtown area, as well as helping many downtown non-profit organizations.

Also, if anyone has any perennials to donate, we’d plant them in two Downtown planting areas.

Volunteers – families, groups from local businesses, church members, youth groups and others – can sign up online at our website,

If you have any additional questions, please contact Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. at 715-839-4914.
