The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s

May 16, 2013 6 pm

Hetzel Care Center/Rose Garden Assisted Living Activity Room, 1840 Priddy St. Bloomer, WI 54724
Julene Bowe from the Alzheimer's Association will be speaking on memory loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer's. This program is designed to help participants understand the difference between normal age-related memory changes and more serious memory problems that should be evaluated by a medical professional. Alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging. Other topics that will be covered include the common causes of memory loss, risk factors, and the importance of an accurate diagnosis. If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, it’s time to learn the facts. The program provides information on detection, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment and much more. It’s free to attend and is open to community members. Facility tours will be available before and after the event. Light refreshments will be provided.
