EF1 Tornado touched down in Barron County

The National Weather Service says tornadoes were responsible for some of the damage in Tuesday night's storm.

The National Weather Service says it was an EF1 tornado in Polk and Barron counties near Turtle Lake and Cameron. The tornado and straight line winds left homes, sheds and trees damaged.

The National Weather Service says winds were up to 95 miles per hour.

It also says an EF0 tornado hit in Polk County near Balsam Lake. No one was hurt.

    OK, you haven't been up in the air and it wasn't your house that was hit it was your parents'.

    Good call, NWS! From the air you can see the narrow path of destruction that winds from field to field, unfortunately including a lot of my neighbors' property. My family spent a lot of Wednesday helping the neighbors repair--and in some cases, find--property.
