Tornado does damage Saturday evening in Marquette County

MARQUETTE CO. (WEAU) A tornado touched down earlier this evening in Marquette County. Preliminary information from Marquette county dispatch and emergency management estimated a 3 mile long, south to north, damage path near the towns of Endeavor and Packwaukee. Reports of a tornado 2 miles north-northwest of Packwaukee came into the National Weather Service at 6:34 PM on Saturday from the Marquette Co. emergency manager.

Damage reported from the twister included a partial roof collapse, siding ripped off a building, 8 to 10 trees down that were 12 to 18 inches in diameter, farm buildings leaning, a boat moved unknown distance, a tree down on car and house, and a collapsed fence.

Debris was also reported on the road near intersections of I-39 and Hwy 23 and I-39 and Hwy 82. No word on any fatalities or injuries.

The Milwaukee National Weather Service Office says more information will be available Sunday about storm damage and the
EF tornado rating of the tornado.
