Numerous reports of hail and wind damage came in after strong thunderstorms blew through Western Wisconsin on Monday.
The storm rolled into the area during the middle of the afternoon bringing heavy rain, frequent lightning, hail and gusty winds. Eau Claire reported marble size hail while Chippewa County saw up to ping pong ball size hail!
The sky was certainly looking ominous near Brackett even through the evening as you can see from this photo Travis took at about 7:30 PM before the second round of rain and thunder impacted the area.
The storm brought down trees and power lines with some of the worst conditions reported near Osseo which you can see in the photo below from Jaymee.
Some parts of the area also saw large hail. Check out these hail stones from Gilmanton! Our thanks to Tara for sending this photo.
We were treated to a beautiful sight once the storms passed...a double rainbow! This photo is over Eau Claire from Jacob.
Megan sent us this beautiful shot
Here is a look at the double rainbow from Sophie in Menomonie.
And here is one from Spring Valley from Jenny!
