Some folks in the Coulee region were shoveling this morning

A very weak area of low pressure had enough moisture and enough dynamics to set up a band of snow yesterday. Most of it was quite light, but there were some pockets of more moderate snowfall Saturday evening into Saturday night.

It was enough to lay a quick coating of over 3" in some places. The heaviest snowfall totals went from just south of Rochester down southeast through Houston, Vernon, and Crawford counties then all the way down to northern Illinois. There was even a bulls eye of 4-6" in southeastern Wisconsin as can be seen by the snowfall totals map below from the La Crosse National Weather Service.

We just missed out on the snow in the Eau Claire area. Here are some specific snowfall totals for you folks in the south in inches.
