High temperatures for our Saturday afternoon only made it into the upper 30s, and if you made it outside at all during the morning and late afternoon hours of our Saturday, you likely noticed some snow flurries blowing around the air. I assure you Mother Nature is not broken. It/He/She realizes that we are in the month of April, almost May, and that we should be in the 60s, not 30s. Temperatures will be heading back into the 50s/60s this week, after another chance for some flurries rolls through.
I think late Sunday night/Monday morning is when we can expect to see a decent chance for some light flurries. Although one of our forecast models is cranking out an inch of accumulation, I do not think we will actually see the roads become white, as a lot of the flurries should melt upon contact with the surface of the Earth. Tuesday and Wednesday seem to be the best days this week, as we make it back up into the 40s and 50s, but it does look like the clouds and some thunderstorms are back in the forecast for next weekend. Stay tuned for tomorrow's update about the thunderstorm chances.
