There's been a chill in the air lately. At least Mother Nature gave us a break on Wednesday. Highs were in the seasonable 60's! Perfect grilling weather don't you think?? Unfortunately, you know we can't keep the warmth forever. As we finish out the week, clouds and showers will be rolling in putting our Spring-like weather on hold.
A big area of low pressure will descend off the Rockies. The low itself, will sit and hover over Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa, stretching a stationary front across Southern Wisconsin. That means clouds and showers (possibly some isolated thunderstorms) will continue to churn into Western Wisconsin from Thursday afternoon right into the first part of our weekend. I'm sure you've noticed every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in April have been bleak and dismal. It certainly hasn't been an arid April has it? Eau Claire has picked up 4.16" of rain this month! That's 1.25" above normal! A soggier La Crosse has had 6.74" worth of raindrops this April, 3.36" above normal! And obviously the April showers are going to follow us into the first couple of May days. Hopefully, the sunshine will bring us May flowers soon enough.
