Depending on where you lived, Mother's Day was either cloudy, gloomy, and windy, or it was sunny and windy. The clouds hung around towards the Dells and Madison areas, but here in the Chippewa Valley the sun made it out! Some cool, Canadian winds swept across the area, which held temperatures in the 50s. This upcoming week features temperatures which will continue to be below average for this time of year.

The sunshine will stick around for Monday afternoon, and temperatures should make it into the middle 60s. Monday actually looks to be the best day of the week, as clouds and rain roll in Tuesday afternoon. I'm not expecting to see any severe weather with this system. Maybe we'll hear a rumble of thunder or two, but that should be about it. In terms of timing, it seems as if we should start to notice some rain here in the Chippewa Valley around 2 pm, and it should last through most of the night, ending around 11 pm or so Tuesday night. Rainfall accumulations should be around a quarter to half an inch in some spots. After that, the rest of the week looks rather dry, and temperatures will stay in the lower to middle 60s. Have a wonderful week!
