Sunday afternoon featured rather cloudy skies throughout the course of the daytime hours. The clouds began to decrease Sunday night, and should be mostly sunny during the day on Monday. Mostly sunny skies will not be present every day this week. The temperatures will also be notably fluctuating for the next five days, in somewhat of a roller-coaster type pattern.
Low 80s should be expected across Western Wisconsin Monday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will slowly move into Wisconsin Monday into Tuesday, brining along sunny skies and warmer temperatures for Tuesday. Upper 80s seem very likely, with a few places possibly reaching 90 degrees. Things will take a turn for the worst Wednesday, as our protecting area of high pressure moves away. As of now, it seems as if there will be a line of storms Wednesday morning towards the Hayward area. This line of storms will move south through the course of the day, strengthening as reach Eau Claire, and then the La Crosse area by the early evening hours. A few of the storms could be severe.
Behind the line of storms, some cooler air will be moving in. Although sunny as another area of high pressure moves through the Upper Midwest, temperatures will struggle to reach 70 degrees on Thursday. We should be back into the upper 70s by Friday, and the 80s by next Saturday. Have a wondrous work-week!
