Feed My People adds new pop-up pantry location
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - If you are in need of help with purchasing groceries, Feed My People is still hosting their weekly pop up pantry in Eau Claire. And starting this week, a new location will also be available for pick up in Chippewa Falls.
Feed my people has made these drive-thru pop up pantries easy to get you the groceries you and your family need. All you have to do is pull up in your car, open the trunk and volunteers will give you food.
All families will get a variety of meat, dairy, produce and dried goods each week. There are no income requirements and you do not have to show an I.D. they will just ask a few questions about your household to make sure they give you enough food.
“We have got a system down and I think people know what to expect, we have got a lot of volunteers in place again no contact with people, it’s done safe, we keep our distance and we are putting the groceries right in your vehicle to make it quick and easy for you as the shopper,” said Tami Syverson from Feed My People.
The new pop up pantry in Chippewa Falls will take place every Friday until August 28th at Our Savior Lutheran Church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. As a reminder, the Eau Claire pop-up also is still happening every Friday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Lakeshore Elementary.
