Eau Claire couple pays it forward this holiday with random act of kindness
Reaction from one resident who received one couple’s random act of kindness Christmas Day.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -On Christmas Day, one couple paid it forward by handing out numerous envelopes filled with money and a story.
Inside was $66 representing the 66 years of life lived by a special family member who suddenly passed away in July.
Brooke Nelson, mom of two was shopping with her daughter Addyson when she was handed an envelope—the man said “Merry Christmas” and was gone.
The family did not wish to be recognized, but Nelson says she is grateful to have been a part of the random act of kindness.
“I was standing in line waiting to get my wipes and I opened up the envelope and found the little story about the $66 and 66 years of life and I was really grateful in that moment because I feel like what you put out into the world is what you get and receive,” says Nelson. “With the season that we’re in and it being a really tough hard holiday season for a lot of people, I feel lucky and grateful to be the one that got this envelope with $66 in it!”
