EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -Golfers were able to hit the greens Thursday while also supporting a good cause.

The 25th annual Junior Achievement Golf Outing took place at Wild Ridge Golf Course.

The event featured an 18 hole scramble where players could enjoy lunch, participate in on-course games, raffles and an online auction.

The golf outing is Junior Achievements’ oldest and largest fundraiser in northwestern Wisconsin.

Marketing and Development Manager Lynn Barrie says the money raised will help Junior Achievement for the upcoming school year.

“This money helps us be able to go out and recruit and train volunteers as well as buy program kits that our volunteer and teacher partners can use in the classroom.”

Last year Junior Achievement in northwestern Wisconsin impacted more than 12,000 students, delivering programming in more than 700 K through 12 schools.
