City of Altoona to hold public hearing on election cycles and term lengths
ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) - The City of Altoona is inviting community members to participate in a public hearing to discuss a charter ordinance amending Altoona Municipal Code regarding “Elected officials – Election and term – Generally.”
The ordinance would change the cycles and lengths of terms of the mayor and councilpersons from two-year terms to three-year terms for future elections. The public hearing is Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 6 p.m. during the Altoona City Council meeting.
