Bates DEAD and Breakfast hosts Halloween fun in the Chippewa Valley
FALL CREEK, Wis. (WEAU) -Halloween is creeping up fast and there are many spooky activities in the Chippewa Valley for people to enjoy including a massive Fall Creek Halloween display.
Bates Dead and Breakfast is a Halloween display and Spook House owned by Clifford and Janet Bates. For the past 20 years, they have decorated their house for people to enjoy. They also invite people to go through a free Spook House with scare actors on Halloween night. Clifford Bates said they get lots of guests each year from all over.
“Over 600 children come through and the children love it,” Clifford Bates said. “I think the parents love it even more. It’s really kinda funny because there are a lot of parents right now that are talking to their children saying I remember when I was your age coming through here. So, it’s become a generational thing.”
The Spook House will be open from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween night. Clifford Bates said free-will donations are accepted and 75 percent will be donated to the nonprofit West Central Wisconsin Ghostbusters and the rest will go towards more Halloween decor. Bates Dead and Breakfast is located at 255 East Lincoln Avenue in Fall Creek, WI.
