Mom calls police after finding man in bed with her 14-year-old daughter

SURPRISE, Ariz. (KPHO/Gray News) - Authorities in Arizona say an 18-year-old man who was found in the same bed as a naked 14-year-old girl is facing molestation charges.

According to court documents, a mother called the Surprise Police Department on Monday after she saw the man, later identified as Stanton Williams, with her daughter.

The teen’s 12-year-old sister was also in the room.

Surprise police said they interviewed the 14-year-old, and she told them she met Williams at the park about six months ago and that they had been “dating” for three weeks.

According to court documents, Williams was kicked out of his home on Sunday night and snuck into the girl’s bedroom through her window around 10 or 11 p.m.

That’s when police said Williams molested her.

Police said the girl told them that she initially lied about her age to Williams, telling him that she was 16 years old, before admitting to him she was 14 a few months ago.

According to investigators, she also told them that she knew Williams was 18 because of his identification and that he had already graduated from high school.

When police interviewed Williams, he said he thought she was 16 by her appearance and that she told him “a few weeks ago” that she was 14, but he “didn’t know what that meant,” court documents said.

Williams was booked into jail on two counts of molestation of a child. His bond was set at $250,000.
