ELOY, AZ (KTVK/KPHO/Gray News) — A man and a baby are safe after first responders rescued them from a flash flood in Arizona.
Early Tuesday morning, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office responded to a swift-water rescue near Battaglia Road and Highway 87. When crews arrived, they found the man holding a baby, sitting on top of their car.
The sheriff’s office search and rescue unit, along with Eloy Police, used the Casa Grande Fire Department ladder truck to help them safely get out of their car and over to dry land.
The sheriff’s office stresses that drivers should never enter flooded roadways or washes.
