SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AZFamily/Gray News) — A 37-year-old man is accused of filming his former coworkers at a Lululemon in Arizona and recording other victims out of state.

Daniel Sanchez was arrested in connection with the alleged crimes.

The investigation launched on Oct. 1, 2025, when a deputy in South Carolina discovered a USB device in a vehicle he recently bought. The deputy found that the USB contained several suspicious recordings.

South Carolina authorities learned that Sanchez was the previous owner of the vehicle and was living in Gilbert, Arizona.

Gilbert police were notified and tracked down a victim from one of the recordings. Court documents state the victim told police that Sanchez was a former coworker, and the two worked together at Lululemon at the Scottsdale Fashion Square.

Scottsdale police took over the investigation and found several inappropriate recordings on the device, including two videos that were filmed in the Lululemon bathroom, according to court documents.

Investigators said some videos showed Sanchez setting up the recording device in the bathroom and captured several employees using the restroom.

Court documents state that Scottsdale police spoke with the manager at the store, who confirmed Sanchez worked there for several years.

Authorities said several other videos were recorded at various restrooms, including in California, where Sanchez used to live, and at his former home in Scottsdale.

Court papers state the videos showed men and women using the bathroom or showering.

Sanchez was located outside his Gilbert home and taken into custody.

In an interview with police, Sanchez reportedly admitted he had been recording people in bathrooms “since he was 16 years old.” Court documents state he recorded “many victims” in Mexico, Arizona and California. However, he did not specify all the cities.

Sanchez claimed he had “many videos,” but destroyed them after his wife found them on a hard drive, police said. He also confirmed he worked at Lululemon and admitted to recording his coworkers and victims at his former Scottsdale home, according to police.

Sanchez reportedly said he started recording after watching pornography online, stating it “escalated,” according to court documents.

Sanchez was booked on three counts of voyeurism.
