GM recalls over 40K brake fluid containers

(CNN) - General Motors is recalling brake fluid that did not meet federal safety standards.
The recall includes more than 40,000 containers of ACDelco GMW DOT 3 brake fluid.
Federal regulators said testing found visible sediment in some containers, which could interfere with brake performance.
The product was sold as replacement brake and clutch fluid at GM dealers and direct purchasers from General Motors and ACDelco.
The affected brake fluid has the lot numbers 01977 or 091222.
No other lot numbers are affected.
GM has not received any reports of crashes connected to the recalled brake fluid.
