Hayley Spitler

Hayley Spitler joined the team at WEAU in 2019 as the station's bureau reporter in La Crosse. In November of 2020 she was promoted to anchor of First News at Nine and made the move north to Eau Claire to work out of the main newsroom. Last October, she accepted another promotion to co-anchor WEAU 13 News at 10 with Danielle Wagner. While at WEAU, Hayley has won 3 WBA awards, most recently a first place win in the Best News Writing category. She truly loves sharing people's stories as well as connecting with viewers at the desk.

She was raised in Chicago and graduated from Loyola University Chicago in May of 2019 with a degree in multimedia journalism. During her time at Loyola, Hayley was the executive producer of Rambler Sports Locker, the student-run sports show. As a junior, she had the opportunity to travel and cover the Ramblers' run to the Final Four in 2018.

While being a student, Hayley interned for both WTTW/ Chicago Tonight and NBC Sports Chicago. Hayley is a huge Chicago Cubs fan and is loyal to the Chicago Bears.

In her free time, Hayley loves going to concerts, traveling, playing with her puppy Zobrist, spending time with friends and family, watching Grey’s Anatomy and anything and everything on Bravo.
