Alex was born in Milwaukee but grew up in the small town of Lake Mills, WI. After spending two years at UW-La Crosse he transferred to UW-Oshkosh to major in Radio-TV-Film and minor in Journalism. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in December 2017 and took his first news job with News Channel Nebraska in Norfolk, NE.
While with News Channel Nebraska Alex worked as a reporter, anchor, and play-by-play announcer. He was looking for an opportunity closer to home, and was able to find a perfect fit as the La Crosse bureau reporter with WEAU. Alex already had a familiarity and love for the Coulee Region after his two years at UWL, where both of his parents and other family members also attended college.
When he's not covering as much of the La Crosse area as possible, you can find Alex at the gym, taking walks around the city, or cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers!
