Alex was born in Milwaukee but grew up in the small town of Lake Mills, WI. After spending two years at UW-La Crosse he transferred to UW-Oshkosh to major in Radio-TV-Film and minor in Journalism. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in December 2017 and took his first news job with News Channel Nebraska in Norfolk, NE.
While with News Channel Nebraska Alex worked as a reporter, anchor, and play-by-play announcer. He was looking for an opportunity closer to home, and was able to find a perfect fit as the La Crosse bureau reporter with WEAU. After spending a little more than a year reporting in the Coulee Region, Alex moved up to Eau Claire to become one of the evening anchors for WEAU 13 News.
When he's not anchoring the 6 PM & 10 PM newscasts, you can find Alex at the gym, taking walks around the city, or cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers!
