Amie Winters

Amie is originally from Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Her parents were both radio DJs when they met, and so broadcasting is in her blood! She came to the Chippewa Valley to attend school at UW-Eau Claire and graduated with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish.

Her broadcasting career began at the ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, where Amie produced, reported and anchored over a stretch of nearly 10 years. She was nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy® for a piece she wrote about the nonprofit organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, which provides free photography services for families whose babies are stillborn.

Amie took a few years away from television, working most recently as the Director of Marketing at the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire. She jumped at the chance to get back into the industry, as it is her passion, and is thrilled to be on a show that emphasizes news, energy and personality!

Amie has a nine-year-old daughter and together they love to build with Legos, play with their pups Dante and Dash, and go on nature hikes. She and her fiance Zach love to go camping and visit different breweries throught the Chippewa Valley. Amie has loved the Eau Claire area since she made it home in 2003, and says she can’t imagine living anywhere else!
