Philip joins WEAU 13 News as a sports anchor and reporter.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Philip recently graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Journalism and Telecommunications. While a student at Ball State, Philip worked for NewsLink Indiana and Waking Up With Cardinal Weather as well as interning with WISH-TV in Indianapolis.
When he is not covering area sporting events, Philip loves exploring the Chippewa Valley on his bike or in a kayak.

Eau Claire Memorial’s Parker Etzel defended his crown as the top individual golfer in Division 1 at the WIAA Boys Golf Championship. Memorial finished second in the team standing. In the Division 3 Tournament, Neillsville placed 7th as a team, while Glenwood City was 8th.

Black River Falls/Fall Creek senior Ethan Wright has made an extraordinary recovery from a devastating car accident to return to the diamond. In today’s prep sports action, Mondovi took on Colfax in both baseball and softball, Elk Mound topped Plum City/Elmwood in baseball, and Fall Creek hosted Eau Claire Memorial in softball. Prep baseball season continues despite chilly and snowy weather in the Chippewa Valley. Cadott squared off with Regis, Memorial hosted Hudson, North took on Menomonie, Chippewa Falls played Superior in a double header, La Crosse Logan faced Altoona, and Immanuel Lutheran took on Melrose-Mindoro. In the NAHL playoffs, the Chippewa Steel fell to the Wisconsin Windigo in Game 1.
