Tucker was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. In spite of this, he is an avid New York Rangers, Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals fan as his family stems from both cities. He attended Penn State University and graduated in 2019 with a bachelor degree in meteorology. He has always wanted to live in the Midwest and his very excited to begin his career here in Wisconsin.
At Penn State, Tucker was heavily involved in a number or organizations. Within meteorology, he was a member of Campus Weather Service, Weather Risk Management Club, PSUBAMS, and served as president of the Penn State Storm Chase Team. Outside of meteorology, he also served as treasurer for the student government on campus and played both ice and deck hockey through his years.
Tucker’s passion for weather and dream to become a broadcast meteorologist has been lifelong. At age 2 he began reporting the weather to anybody around him willing to listen. He credits the weather beacon on top of the old Hancock Tower in Boston for this original inspiration. From there, his passion only grew, and in high school Tucker began running a popular local weather website, while serving as a snow-day advisor to local school superintendents.
On his own time, Tucker will play nearly any sort of sport, though hockey will always remain his favorite. He also loves spending time outdoors, particularly biking, and is thrilled by the variety of opportunities the Chippewa Valley has to offer. Finally, if he is not the studio, you may just catch him out storm chasing when severe weather strikes.
Tucker loves to chat and invites anyone to say hello, whether it’s out in public or on social media. You can follow him @tuckerweather on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram or shoot him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
