Job Description

The Production Supervisor will lead their team by safely producing high quality products on time for the customer in a cost effective manner. The supervisor will demonstrate leadership by promoting a positive attitude & creating a culture of accountability & job satisfaction. This supervisory position is for 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday from 10:30pm - 7:00am.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining good manufacturing practices at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
•Enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the production line/area cross-functional team
•Ensure effective two way communication within the production line/area cross-functional team
•Manage, motivate, develop & involve production associates through coaching & performance management.
•Foster teamwork within the production line/area cross-functional team.
•Embed the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors.
•Effective recruitment, selection, training of new employees.
•Schedules & assigns work within the unit to regulate workflow & meet required schedules.
•Provides technical assistance & supervision throughout the unit.
•Orders necessary supplies to perform jobs within the unit.
•Ensures proper maintenance of unit equipment & tools.
•Performs &/or assists in special projects as assigned.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:
•Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
•Problem solving & resolution aptitude
•Recommend & implement improvements to processes increasing efficiency.
•Mathematical ability sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide, & figure averages.
•Ability to communicate effectively by telephone & in group meetings & discussions.
•Ability to give & receive information accurately.
•Ability to follow directions & procedures accurately; to organize facts & figures; apply basic arithmetic.
•Microsoft Office & computer skills necessary.
•Working knowledge of electronic assembly procedures.

Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills &/or experience.
•One to three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
•One to three years supervisory experience.
