Chippewa County is accepting applications for a full-time Custodian/Maintenance Assistant position within the Department of Administration – Facilities and Parks Division. The job duties of the Custodian/Maintenance Assistant include but are not limited to perform general building custodial duties, grounds upkeep, perform dock duties, move furniture, and assist with maintenance tasks. The primary work location is the Government Center Campus, with secondary work locations consisting of the Firearms Range, County Parks, and Tower Sites or as assigned. The schedule for these two positions is primarily Monday – Friday, 4:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Two (2) years of custodial or maintenance experience required. A valid driver’s license and cell phone required. Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include overtime and weekend work, to meet the demands of the job. $14.23 - $15.66 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Position may be eligible for an annual pay increase based on performance.
Security Health Plan provider options include a high deductible plan ($2,000 for an individual and $4,000 for a family) and a low deductible plan ($500 for an individual and $1,500 for a family) with monthly premiums ranging from $0 per month to $11 for an individual and $0 per month to $30 for a family.
