We are currently seeking applicants for the Deputy City Clerk position in the City Manager’s Office. This position is responsible for the coordination of all federal, state, county, city, and school district elections within the City limits; supervises 300+ temporary election workers; and performs other related clerical and administrative duties. This position also assumes the duties of the City Clerk in her absence.
The ideal applicant must have an Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 60 credits from an accredited college or technical school with a preferred emphasis in political science, business, or a related field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement. Applicants must also possess and maintain a valid driver's license, be able to work overtime, multitask, and have strong computer and communication skills. Progressively responsible work and supervisory experience is preferred.
