Customer Service/Sales Representative

Job Description
The Customer Service/Sales Representative attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services; giving sales presentations and product demonstrations. Process orders, negotiate contracts, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Typically reports to a supervisor. The target is to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Job functions and responsibilities:
• Establish, develop and maintain customer accounts for positive business and customer relationships
• Present, promote and sell products and/or services to existing and prospective customer
• Maintain a positive, empathic, professional attitude toward customers at all times
• Respond promptly to customer leads and inquiries
• Support management regarding customer needs, problems and potential products or services by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
• Manage incoming calls
• Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
• Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
• Reach out to customers; Inform customers of deals and promotions via phone, email, mail or social media
• Greet customers warmly with a commitment to provide excellent customer service
• Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges
• Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
• Know our product inside and out so that you can answer questions. Ex. warranties, terms of sale
• Keeping records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, transactions, comments, file documents and maintain client records
• Sell products and services
• Work with management to ensure proper customer service is being delivered

Requirements:
• Proven customer support/sales experience
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of MS Office; Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset
• Comfortable using computers for a variety of tasks
• Work Saturdays and an occasional Trade Show/Fair
