The City of Augusta is currently accepting applications for the public works department.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the public works department including the water and wastewater departments and all other duties assigned by the public works superintendent.
All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and be able to obtain a CDL within one year of employment. This candidate must be able to successfully complete the current water and wastewater certifications within one year of employment.
Experience with operation of various construction related equipment is preferred. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Selected candidate will be required to perform manual labor including lifting, carrying and moving up to 50 lbs. frequently, regardless of the weather conditions. Must be able to work outside of normal work hours including weekends and holidays.
The City of Augusta offers a comprehensive benefits package. The wage is dependent on qualifications.
