The Women's Giving Circle will hold its Fall Educational Event on Addiction: Is it a Problem in Our Community?" September 17.

It will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Eau Claire from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

News Release:

The public is invited to this wonderful FREE event entitled “Addiction: Is It a Problem in Our Community?” A panel of three community experts will discuss the impact of alcohol and other drugs on local residents. The evening will also feature a demonstration by Eau Claire Police Department K9s Jake and Manso along with their handlers.

No registration is required, and free child care will be provided. Peoples Bank Midwest is a sponsor of this event.

The Women’s Giving Circle is a fund of the Eau Claire Community Foundation. Its almost 300 members use the power of collective giving by pooling their donations to fund grants to nonprofit organizations that work to enhance the well-being of local women and children. The impact of each member’s $250 or more contribution is considerable: Together, the WGC members have distributed over $265,000 in grants since their Fund was established. The WGC is open to everyone who wants to become a member.
