EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)— The Buckshot Run for Special Olympics is August 27 and 31 at Carson Park in Eau Claire.
News Release: Special Olympics Wisconsin is excited to announce Eau Claire-based technology company WIN Technology as the Exclusive Presenting Partner for the Chippewa Valley’s legendary Buckshot Run for the second year. In 2019, the WIN Buckshot Run will be on Tuesday, August 27 and Saturday, August 31 in Carson Park.

Tuesday offers a 2-mile run while Saturday offers a 5-mile run, a 2-mile run, and a kids’ dash that is free to children 10 and under. Both Buckshot Runs will have concessions, music and an awards ceremony following the race.

WIN Technology, the Presenting Partner of the 37th Annual Buckshot Run, has served the Upper Midwest with cutting-edge technology solutions and services since 1997. As one of the region’s largest fiber network providers, WIN has more than 9,200 miles of fiber in the region.

“WIN Technology is thrilled to partner with Special Olympics Wisconsin again for the Buckshot Run,” WIN CEO Scott Hoffmann said. “It was such a fun event to be involved with last year in our first year as Presenting Partner. For more than 37 years, the community of Eau Claire has supported and participated in the Buckshot Run for Special Olympics. The Buckshot Run is not only Eau Claire’s oldest run, but it is also considered one of Wisconsin’s can’t-miss runs. It annually draws thousands of people to downtown Eau Claire to participate in one, or several, of the runs offered.
