"Feed the Need" holiday pet food drive

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The annual "Feed The Need" pet food drive, organized by the Chippewa Valley Cat Club and Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital, is being held from November 1 to December15.

The goal is to collect more than last year’s record total of 10,138 pounds.

All items collected are delivered to the St Francis Food Pantry on Truax Blvd in Eau Claire as it is one of the few pantries to distribute pet food to clients. While this drive is done during the holiday season, pet food can be donated directly to St Francis anytime during the year.

By donating to the Feed The Need pet food drive you will be helping to keep pets out of shelters and in their loving homes.

According to the director at St Francis dry dog and cat food are the two most requested items.
