EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- A new walk in Eau Claire is stepping up to support nearly 70 families in Western Wisconsin affected by muscular dystrophy.
The inaugural MDA Muscle Walk Eau Claire is coming to Carson Park in May. It will feature a 3K walk for all ages and abilities, including a wheelchair and equipment friendly course!
While MD is a muscle-debilitating disease, organizers say this walk is chance for family and friends to show strength as one. You can sign up as an individual or a team, to walk with loved ones or in memory of. Organizers say they'll also be sharing stories of hope as they look to raise funds to help with research, treatments and care for those affected.
The walk will begin at 10 a.m. in the Oak Pavilion on May 19th. Organizers say their goal is to raise $11,000.
