EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- Every month WEAU and Gordy's Market team up to present one school in Western Wisconsin with $3,000 in Box Tops for Education, courtesy of General Mills.

On Tuesday, Meadowview Elementary in Eau Claire was chosen as our latest "Schools Rule" contest winner.

Second grader, Claire Gibson, loves to read and nominated her school so they could buy more books for their summer reading program.

"Reading is so important. I love it and I love to read," said Gibson.

"Getting this $3,000 award is a huge gift, it will allow us to continue to purchase books that we can use in our media center and our library," said Dr. Delesa Boley, Principal of Meadowview Elementary.

WEAU is currently taking nominations for our next Schools Rule contest winner.

To nominate your school, just click on the 'contests' tab on the top of our WEAU homepage and tell us how your school could use the money.
