NOON INTERVIEW: Summer Masquerade Ball

MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Masquerade Ball is a black-tie event that will be an evening of mystery, art, dance, and delicious food, all taking place at Tanglewood Greens in Menomonie on Saturday, August 17th from 7pm to midnight. Last year was its first year, and it was an overwhelming success.

The live band will be led by Mat Tiller, and features many talented, local musicians. This year's vocalist is Christine Hitt, a well-known jazz musician from Eau Claire. Other musicians include Jay Collins, Josh Gallagher, Todd Barlett, and several others. The music selection will include a variety of waltz, jazz and more.

Guests will be able to have free tarot readings, view living statues, enjoy free hors d'oeuvres and desserts. There will also be a local artist that will be available to professionally paint faces for those that forgot a mask or would rather have a painted face than a mask.

Vets Plus chooses a different non-profit every year to benefit, and this year chose Stepping Stones of Dunn County. Stepping Stones addresses homelessness and food insecurity in the area. $5 from each Masquerade Ball ticket sold will go directly to the Stepping Stones of Dunn County.

Tickets are available in advance for $45 online at tanglewoodgreens.com, or physical tickets may also be purchased at Tanglewood Greens and 29 Pines Family Restaurant.
