EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- This Saturday, if you have any non-perishable food items, feel free to leave them by your mailbox! It's to support the largest food drive in the Chippewa Valley.
Saturday, May 11th marks the 27th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This food drive, organized by the National Letter Carrier's Association, is the largest annual food drive that happens in the Chippewa Valley. It benefits many non-profit food assistance organizations and raises thousands of pounds of food that is then able to be distributed to residents right here in the Chippewa Valley who struggle with not having enough food to feed their families.
They are still looking for volunteers! They typically spend about 3-4 hours helping out. If you have the time, head to www.uwgcv.org/stamp-out-hunger
