Warrior Slimdown Challenge

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- If you're like most people, you're hoping to keep that New Year's resolution to stay healthy and lose weight! But there's a local incentive that help you stick to your goal.

Hello Wisconsin welcomed Dan Ekblad of the Warrior Slimdown Challenge to explain more about the unique opportunity.

He says, “This is the 6th year of doing a weight loss challenge, and the 2nd year of the "Warrior Slimdown. It was important to change the how we did the challenge because these "lose the most weight in a short time" weight loss competitions look good from the outside, but the results in the long run can be devastating. It was tough seeing people who lose a bunch of weight in a short time period gain most if not all of it back.”

The Warrior Slimdown Challenge promotes losing weight in a healthier way, slowly lose at least 10% over the course of 6 months and you're guaranteed to get all of your money back. Plus, with this year’s challenge we will be doing monthly prize drawings in addition the weekly games that DietBet runs.

The cost is $25 a month or if you pay up front you get 1 month free.

Ekblad says, “The communities of people from all across North America who join these weight loss events help keep everyone motivated.”

Last year the people who stayed in for the whole 6 months over doubled their money back! This year we're letting our contestants pick the charity we'll be donating to.
