HORTONVILLE, Wis. (WBAY) - A glass-making company in Hortonville handed out its Christmas bonus. It gave all of its employees a handgun of their choice.

BenShot is a father-and-son business that makes bulletproof drinking glass products, including whiskey glasses, beer mugs and decanters. It's known for selling its glassware with a bullet embedded in the side.

Ben Wolfgram of BenShot says handguns are the perfect gift for their close-knit team. "I want to make sure all (of our) employees are safe and happy - a handgun was the perfect gift."

BenShot started in a garage workshop in 2015 and now has 16 full-time employees and the top-ranked hand-made products on Amazon.com, according to a company news release.
