The new Miss Wisconsin USA made a stop in her hometown today. Skylar Witte, a native of Altoona, won the crown Sunday night in Fond du Lac and today she made her way back to the Chippewa Valley.
At 19, Skylar was one of the youngest contestants of this Miss Wisconsin USA pageant and competed with 41 other women. She says the last few days have been surreal.
“I'm going to as many different places in Wisconsin that I can. To talk about my journey and how excited I am to represent our state, and then the prep for miss USA starts. We don't even know where or when it will be but I’m excited to get started on my prep for the competition.”
Witte says the people of the Chippewa Valley have been very supportive, not only of the pageant, but of her modeling career. Witte is currently a student at UW-Madison. She will now compete for the national title of Miss USA.
