An investigation of a school incident found a BB gun and several knives.
On Wednesday around 3:15 p.m., the Rusk County Sheriff's Office says a BB gun and several knives were located in a backpack during an investigation of an incident where a student scratched graffiti on a bathroom stall door.
The student was taken into custody.
On Monday, there was a separate incident involving violent threats towards the Bruce Public School made by a 15-year-old male student.
Based on there being multiple incidents in reference to security of the school, the decision was made to not allow backpacks into the school Friday.
When students come back from spring break, the superintendent tells WEAU 13 News there will be a new entrance procedure for the K-12 building. The district will limit the number of entrances students can use to three. Two will be set aside for middle and high school students and one will be for elementary. All will be staffed with staff and administration.
