Appointments no longer needed for urgent care at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire

Patient appointments are no longer needed at one local health clinic.

Urgent Care at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire says it is now taking walk-ins only to provide patients with same-day care.

The director of Urgent Care, Shannara Faupl, says, "having access to same-day care has the potential to save patients from having to make a more costly emergency room visit."

Urgent Care on West Clairemont Avenue is open seven days a week.
