One person dead after semi & buggy crash in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Jackson County man is dead after a crash between a semi and a buggy.

It happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday on US Highway 10 at County Highway G, near Osseo in Jackson County.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a semi was going westbound on U.S. Highway 10 when it struck the buggy.

The 26-year-old buggy driver died in the crash. He was the only one in the buggy.

The 36-year-old semi driver from St. Cloud, Minnesota was not hurt in the crash.

Names of those involved aren't being released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.

Multiple crews are on the scene, with Wisconsin State Patrol handling the reconstruction and investigation into the crash.

There’s no official word yet on how many or what type of vehicles are involved.
