Barnes comes to Eau Claire, talks to UWEC students

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor is bringing his college tour to western Wisconsin.

Mandela Barnes spoke with students Tuesday afternoon at UW -Eau Claire.

He’ll also stop at UW La Crosse later Tuesday evening.

Barnes is meeting with young voters about his plan with gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers on how they'll support Wisconsin students and improve college affordability.

“Talk to college students about what's at stake with this election, to talk about our vision for the future for the state of Wisconsin because our youth or college students are actually the future they're a huge part of what we are looking to do and improving our economy across the entire state,” said Barnes.

Barnes will speak with students at UW- La Crosse Tuesday at 7 in the student union.
